Sounds like you could be low on iron. I know you said you are taking a vitamin, but sometimes, this is just not enough....
Have you talked with a doctor about this? Have you had any recent lab or blood work done? If you are able to do this, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
You could also try talking with a pharmacist or go into one of those general nutrition stores and talk with someone there.
Maybe they could recommend something you could take in addition to your vitamin.
I am not a vegetarian so I would not know any vegetarian websites to help you..however, I do respect that you are eating only veggies and such. Good for you, there's nothing wrong with that.
Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Its important to take a look at the nutrients you have stopped ingesting by eliminating meat from your diet and then find a way to supplement yourself with those nutrients in an alternative way. Your centrum may not be enough of a supplement. Pay special attention to your B-vitamin (niacin, thiamin and riboflavin), protein and iron intake. Further, make sure you are eating enough fats and oils, they are vital to brain function. You can get some of these from nuts etc. and fish and dairy if you are still eating those things. Use the http://www.mypyramid.gov/ webpage, you'll have to sign up, to enter the foods you eat as well as the exercise you get to help determine if you are meeting the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for nutrients, as well as calories in general.

It sounds like you are suffering from anemia or a vitamin deficiency. See your regular physician for a work up and let him or her know about your change in diet and all of the meds/vitamins or supplements that you are taking. If I were you, I'd check out some Indian cooking as the Hindus have been vegetarians for centuries and they have certainly survived and functioned quite well.

Humans - and I am not trying to offend anyone - are meant to be omnivores, we're supposed to eat some meat. Your body needs protein in some form or another to survive. Make sure that you are eating foods that provide you with all the nutrients that your body needs and with careful planning you can accomplish this with a strictly vegetarian diet. Good luck to you.

Hey girl, you're suffering from vitamin B12 deficiency.A deficiency in this vitamin will cause fatigue and exhaustion, moodiness, irritability, dizziness, depression, inability to concentrate, headaches and migraines etc.etc.

Sounds like you've been under added stress lately. In stressfull situations, we need to increase our intake of the B Vitamin complex.

You need to increase your intake of B12. But since you are a vegetarian you will have to supplement your diet with tablets. In the human diet B12 is supplied primarily by animal products, since plant products usually don't contain it.

The recommended daily intake for adults is 2mcg. I suggest you go to the chemist and ask the pharmacist to recommend a good quality brand for you to buy. Simply ask for a multi B complex supplement.

For B12 to be properly assimilated through the stomach it is necessary to be combined with calcium during absorption to adequatly benefit the body.

Sweating in the hands and head are also B12 deficiency symptoms.

So then you are probably B2 (Riboflavin) deficient too ?? Do you also have sore lips, mouth and tongue, cracked and splitting skin around your fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling eyes? If so, this is also a vitamin B deficiency, vitamin B2 (Riboflavin). This vitamin will be included in the Multi B complex supplement that you buy. The recommended daily intake for this vitamin is 1.2 - 1.7mg.

Foods rich in B2 (that you can have) are cheese, leafy green vegies, yoghurt and beans, peas and lentils.

B12 and B2 work best synergistically with all the other B vitamins, hence my advice to get yourself a B complex vitamin supplement. Women may find B12 helpfull as part of a B complex during and just prior to menstruation.

If you choose to follow my advice you'll be very pleased you did as you will get release from your symptoms within a few hours or so. In actual fact, you should feel some degree of almost immediate improvement.

PEACE & LIGHT

You may want to add more dark green and leafy veggies to your diet, like broccoli and spinach, which are high in iron.
You should get a routine blood work done to determine if you are anemic (low iron levels). Since meats , especially red meat and dark chicken/turkey meat, contain iron essential to the body, eating only veggies may be why your are so tired.
Check with your doctor or a nutritionist/dietitian to determine the best foods for you.
You can always take iron supplements like Ferrous Sulfate 300mg tablets to supplement your diet too.

Good luck.

Just not eating meat, and going veg, cannot, repeat cannot, make you feel tired: the cause lies somewhere else, certainly! There are some relaxation techniques and dietary tips, in combination with some yoga and exercises that will help you to overcome the tendency to feel tired: hope your liver is in good health and you are not diabetic. Check out, if need be.

even though you're not eating meat you can eat other dairy products like cheese and milk and also eggs just to keep your protein intake intact or preferably beans and nuts they are also a good source of protein....your falling asleep might be because of too much carbohydrates like potatoes, rice, bread and corn because they have a lot of energy and stored energy(because of sitting down and not doing any physical activity) can lead to feeling sleepy

what your problem is that you are not getting enough protein and this is why you are tired. Most people need between 50-70 grams of protein a day You can try protein shakes and bars which has between 10 and 60 grams of protein per serving.

falling asleep and the feeling of constant tiredness may not be diet related. go and see your GP or cut out the parties.
