You're a dumbfvck. I hope a 90 lbs Muay Thai guy cripple you for asking a such dumb question. People like you are exactly the type who give martial arts a bad reputation.

I guess if you swing that way, but your training buddies might get a little irritated with you.

But seriously if you go with Muay Thai, yes you will become a more solid person because of the ceremonies and beliefs that go along with Muay Thai. If you are going to do kickboxing, you will be just like any other fighter, which is just any other guy on the street, except they know a deadly skill.

Depends are you hard anyway that helps but your Q has reminded me of a holiday prog I saw about Thailand and they showed a Thai boxing event that these English tourists went to see and one of them stupidly accepted a challenge from this short skinny Thai kid to go a round, the bell went the kid jumped up and kicked him in the head knocking him clean out!LOL

No!!!

No martial art will make you hard only fitter and technically more skilled as you continue to train.

Most regular answers before me have said it but I'll repeat it in detail.

Hard is mental toughness that's it!!!

Imagine being in a situation where you are either out numbered or facing weapons or both,if you survive that then most likely it will be through the determination to carry on regardless of whats being forced upon you.

That defines Hard !!!!!

As for myself I have nothing to prove so won't even begin to tell you about myself, but my reply is common sense Analise and think about it and you will see I speak the truth.

Now begin your journey young man and good luck :)

Yes it will.

When I first began, I was way out of shape. It had been eight years since my high school graduation and I hadn't done very much on a consistent basis, athletically speaking, since then.

Muay Thai training got me ripped. I was 5'-9", 158 lbs, 8% body fat, able to run up to 13 miles at a time, sprinted 100 meters in under 12 seconds, bench pressed 240lbs, squatted 375lbs and deadlifted 455lbs. All of this as a result of my Muay Thai training.

Hard/tough is a state of mind, you could still be a whimp even if you know a few kick boxing moves. Its all to do with confidence and actually believing in yourself. But it is possible taking up some kind of martial art could boost your self esteem, give it a go, the worst that could happen is you get some exercise. good luck.

Hi there

It wont make you hard but it will make you prepared. You may develop a great range of technical skills that will enable you to defeat someone who's hard. Being hard is really down to living and having a hard life. A real hard person usually has had may knocks through out life. Its psychology.

No, but viagra will. (lol)
Sorry I couldn't resist. I've seen many people who THINK they are "hard". Thats a state of mind, not something gained through physical exercise, unless you mean a hard body.
That would be possible, the exercise involved in kickboxing will help to develope muscle tone.

hope you are kidding, but just in case you are serious..

Martial arts will NEVER make you "Hard" they will give you disipline and help with your reaction times, fitness level's and make you think about solving problems in ways you might not think of, violence is always the last course of action..

If you approach any martial art with the intention of getting "hard" the instuctor will tell you to leave, don't waste your time..

And rememeber that true strength comes from within, if you are not hard without martial arts, you will never be.

Eat sand and cement for breakfast that will make you 'rock' hard!

Might upset your tummy a little but worth a try
