They are about to vote on it in congress, paying out over 800 billion to illegal aliens and these aliens will NEVER pay that much taxes back in their lifetimes
I think they should send them back and divide the 800 billion among American citizens

YES,YES,YES! Finally someone else feels the Americans are are seeing the ugly side of our wonderful country going to H-e-l-l. We have lost our precious Country to anyone who wants to come over here and just take what they want. Our homes, our cars, our JOBS.Most important out FREEDOM. Use the money to build bigger jails, mental instatutions, and to keep our beautiful homeland safe, fresh and CLEAN!! All we have to do is stick a jewel on the center of our forheads wrap a sheet around us and not speak English!!! Bam we will get it all. How sad the mess The government has let our country go to he--ll. we've worked to long and to hard to just let others come from other countries and just take what we worked for. Thanks for a great question!!

Have any of you ever thought what sending them back will do? This is a very complex situation with no perfect solution. Any person with even an ounce of compassion should realize that a lot of the immigrants in this country have families here. They have children here, wives, parents, siblings. Some were sent here when they were children, should they be held accountable for their status? Sending fathers back leaves children and wives on welfare, and that strains our economy as well. I don't think many people are "for" illegal immigration, but there can't just be a "send them back" mentality for the ones who are here. There needs to be some type of evaluation to determine who can be allowed to stay. And those who do stay, believe me, pay for it. Between all the legal fees, form filing fees, and taxes they have been paying the whole time they have been here (and never will get to file a return), they pay a lot more than citizens do. Keep an open mind to people's situations...what if the tables were turned on you? And no matter what, I guarantee that 800 billion dollars will not go to any illegal aliens. (They won't give it to citizens either, so don't get your hopes up.)

Has it been introduced yet? Do you have a link?

Last I heard McCain and Kennedy couldn't find a compromise and Kennedy was going back to the old bill - which is terrible, I agree.

As to those who say 'it isn't amnesty' as if any minor penalty takes it out of that category, no, it is worse. Amnesty says 'we won't give you a penalty' but does NOT say 'you can continue not only to keep the gains you already illegally got, but can continue to take in the future legally, and bring more family to do it too.'

I agree with Haliewa that they want to rush it through. That is why there is so much 'back room' with no 'public participation' as yet. They want all their votes on board so it sails through before American citizens have time to organize against a specific plan.

However, I didn't see where it was introduced yet.

The 843 billion figure is not from the Kennedy bill. It's estimated costs from a study conducted a few years ago for the Center for Immigration Studies. CIS is a group that advocates immigration reduction.

It is a slap in the face to all those people who have gone through the difficult and expensive process of becoming a US citizens to reward people who break US laws. It will also encourage more people to come here illegally because they will be rewarded for it.

Kennedy already gave amnesty to illegals in 1986 and all it did was encourage more illegal aliens.

unlawful immigrants have broken the regulation as quickly as; how lots of them will ruin the regulation back? If the President provides amnesty to illegals then truthfully human beings making use of for visa and petitions legally could be granted desires to proceed to be interior the U.S. the place does that go away us status? I actually have a stable opinion in this subject remember because of the fact i'm a U.S. citizen who married somebody on a J1 visa that entered legally. because of the fact he had a 2 300 and sixty 5 days homestead rule restrict we weren't allowed to proceed to be jointly interior the U.S. even after alluring our case for 2 years. besides the fact that the government known that we've been legally married they nonetheless denied us. I had to choose for between my relatives, occupation, and homestead or my husband. I chosen to be with him and left each and every thing in the back of. If i ought to go away the united statesto be with my husband then it form of feels merely suitable that unlawful immigrants should not be allowed to stay.

I don't think that it is going to go over very well...it would be political suicide for those that vote for it.

While many aren't as vocal about it as we on Y!A...polls show (depending on the poll) that 60-80% of US citizens are against illegal immigration and the number is growing...

They want to rush this through...I don't think that it's going to go over very well.

I think you are missinformed. Thre is not such a thing as an amnesty. They are trying to work for a Comprehensive Reform, not amnesty. Americans won't allow that.

This proposal, that is not yet introduced is one of many, but none of tese are pro- amnesty
