Yep that's a hard one........
Find someone who is prepared to make an effort for your sake. that is assuming your famil y aren't axe murderers of course.
Splitting yourself between your partner and your family rarely works. You are worthy of more than that.

If he doesnt like your family. You have to decide if he is worth loosing your family over. Usually sometime durring the relationship when your lover of significant other does not like your family then he will begin to start making you make choices. little ones at first. then you will have to make the ultimate decision. me or them.
you need to think if this is what you want

the whole family? then i would have issues as he is dismissing your whole previous life.
be prepared for a lot of heartache if you keep seeing this guy. if he will not change and is dead set on invalid issues then you will be the lesser for knowing him.
but........if you family is totally dysfunctional and a basket case (yes, i have seen this too_) then i would not plan on having the two of you visiting your family...maybe that would not be such a bad idea...as i don't like most of my family either and they are my family...lol

ask myself if it was really meant to be and if he was worth having fights with my family for.
dont get me wrong i've ended up taking a bf side before but only wil i do it within reason

how much does it matter to you?
not careing is one thing, but if he is able to put up a respectful
front, does it matter?Especially if your bf is new to you,he's
honest it sounds like,if you are together for a while his feelings may change,the closer you get,the more aspects of
your life will matter,and be honest, are you with him because
his aunt betty is hot?
