Of course they should legalize stem cell research. Especially with placentas(umbilical cords, the after birth) They just throw it away anyways. So might as well use them for research. To possibly help children & adults live a longer life. Maybe find a cure for a disease. Why waste the placenta when it could be used for research to save a life?

i think its just the natural progression of science. many scientific achievements that we rely upon today have sketchy beginnings that were the subject of much debate and controversy.

I think the rewards and benefits from the study of this science far outweigh the moral implications of using unborn fetus cells.

Maybe they can use abortions as their supplier, so at least these fetuses did serve some purpose (ugh, that sounds terrible, i can already feel the negative thumbs down being posted)

But who cares? Stem Cell Research and Science are the newest and most hopeful area in advancing medical science since the discovery DNA. we need to invest the money for the research for this and stop listening to relgious zealots who claim it to be unrighteous, when you know that if this zealots were paralyzed or in need to stem cells, they would be the first in support of it

Yes, In my Opinion, Federal Funding of this Research Should Be Allowed (No Doubt, your Meaning), I Know Many people Would Like you to See a Collection of Cells of Human Cells of Human Origin as a Human Being (In this Case, an Embryo), but Really it isn't.

Stem Cell research is NOT illegal. The Federal (US) government will no longer fund such research on cell lines that are not already in existence (new) from a human embryo source.
Stem Cell research continues under federal funding on a list of existing stem cell lines.

Yes. Here is why:

1. The benefits are astronomical.
2. If we don't, we will never find a cure for several killer diseases.
3. For all you religious nuts who are against it, it ain't life until it can live outside the womb and if you really believe that it can...then you have to consider all life precious...even diseases and the skin cells on your arm. But I don't see you protesting to protect them.

Its hard very hard to make a choice because you can use a non existing life to save a life. On the other end it sounds sad and evil that someone could do that i don't no i think the person who has the abortion should be able to choose what they want to do with there dead fetus.
