my aunt died on sunday and is being buried in ireland, (she died in the uk) how long does it normally take for the funeral, i'm waiting on a replacement passport and hoping it will come in time

Well it normally depends on the culture. Some cultures like the person to be buried as soon as they possibly can. Others like for family members to pay their last respects - in a timely manner.

So I'd say from anywhere between 3 to 7 days.

Funerals are quick in Ireland, you could die on the friday & be in the ground by Sat/Sun! As your Aunt died here it could be up to 3/4wks (post mortem/moving her ect). Go to passport office in person to save time. Sorry by the way x
