Lets see... I consider God to be "all that is" i.e. the Universe and as my parents are a part of that universe and "God" being the universe made them out of part of the universe. So I do truly appreciate that they were made so they could make me. I do truly love my parents but I am rather annoyed at them for not learning how to explain the universe to me... and so I do place God above my parents...
If I did not then I would could not offer respect for that consciousness that brought my parents parents parents parents parents parents echo echo, echo into being... consequently bringing my parents into being finally ending in me coming into being!...
The aberration unfolds in all directions and if you do not know about it you will continue to love your parents above the universe. And so the universe will remain unknown!

You have known your parents. But you have not known the God.
So first thing is to know Him. You can not know Him by all your efforts. You also can't know Him by reading Bible or any scripture. The reason is that He is not comprehensible by the smartest intellectual.
We can know Him only with the help of a true saint.
Till that time you can keep loving your parents. But after that you can't love howsoever hard you try.

no it's not wrong it's easier to love your parents because you can see them and they protect you. As long as you love god that is enough. xxx
