What did you do to him or was he just overcome with emotions and love for you.
Its a strength for a man to show his emotions and take it as very reassuring he is sharing them with you.

Tell him that its all right avoid physical contact until you begin to explore the issue that causing him the pain (to avoid sending the wrong signals)- be honest with him, if you do not feel the same way -state it clearly and objectively

Hay, you Do not knew , Why he is crying, ? Just feed him like every mother do .
He will stop crying immediatly, & you will enjoy feeling that.

put your arm around him and rest your head on his shoulder and rub his back this should work as it is very caring.
