Tribble Macher, in an e-mail , promised me i would have a problem this very week. Then I start getting violation notices. I got one for saying Joseph was my favorite saint, when asked who my favorite saint is. If it only meant a suspension from this site, it would be funny. People Get their whole accounts deleted. Not Not Not funny. People can fail classes, lose business, lose contact with friends and family. I think that is not funny at all

Thank you for raising this. I hadn't realised that I could lose my entire account; Y!A, blog and email.
I don't find it hard to believe that there would be people who would deliberately act to cause that to happen to other people.
All the same, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I try to be fair, reasonable, respectful, while expressing my views in these pages. I would hate to think that I am 'risking it all' by having and expressing an opinion.
Has the much cherished notion of free speech been reclassified as a theory? Unproven, and debated, hotly.
I thought Y!A was an open forum, a place for the free exchange of ideas.
It seems I am mistaken.
It seems my faith in my fellow man has been misplaced.
This saddens me.

Don't use your main account to participate here. If you do, then set up something else for your personal use. Two of my friends were suspended this week after getting hate mail promising that they were going to be reported. No, it's not funny, you have to take precautions because the reporting system is so flawed here.

Don't worry, he's already on my list!

No seriously, I agree, there's obviously a lot of back-room "reporting" going on, but I don't know what to do about it...I've actually stopped reporting anything because I never got a response...not that I'm paranoid *what was that?* but I do feel a tad discriminated against I must say. And if by saying this I have condemned myself, it is a far, far better thing I do...

No, that isn't funny.

Its the major problem with fundamentalism. When God doesn't exercise His will (according to what the fundamentalist believe's God's will is), then the believer will do God's will himself.

Lets not forget about the atheists that send hard core pornography to peoples sites and send complaints because of a disagreement. It happens on BOTH sides of the fence.
