ignoring housing (since that varies depending on # of roommates, how far to the subway, doorman, ...), it is comparable to other places. Most utilities are the same as any other major city. I pay $90 for my phone (to get unlimited long distance), $100 for cable (but have HBO, DVR and 2 cable boxes), $40 for DSL, ~$100 for utilities (heat is included in my rent).

Groceries are a bit higher (especially for fresh veggies), but you can easily eat for $10/day if you are not easting out (or if you only eat off the dollar menu at Wendy's). I would say 30% more than you pay elsewhere.

factor in ~$80 for a subway pass, but you probably pay more than that for a car outside the city.

Try to live at the school. You will have the best deal.

plan on 1000 dollar rent to start, if you drive double your insurance, and if you dont spend the money on a garage, figure 1-200 per month in parking tickets. And thats if you're good with them. Groceries will probably run at least 80 a week, and eating out another 50-100...I had a good deal on cable, phone, and internet for 100...all bundled together..the rest of the utilities were the same as everywhere else.

what about employ? in case you at the prompt are not including that, then sure that seems about correct. relies upon on how a lot you devour. I spend between one hundred and fifty-2 hundred on foodstuff, in undemanding words round 10 on shampoo, cleansing soap, toothpaste, and so on, books i attempt to employ them or discover them used so value varies. 2 hundred for gas and coverage, no automobile fee. 30 for my cellular telephone. 20 for gentle bill. finished: $460+ so sure that seems about correct. attempt to grant your self a touch more beneficial room. funds for 650 instead of basically 454. you not in any respect know once you may favor that more beneficial money
