Absolutely. I find it really hard not to feel anger toward the short-sighted people who won't do this - talk about having nothing to lose!
I know there are some who have deranged notions that donating will somehow affect them on 'the other side'. Perhaps I could be more understanding of these things, but really! - how long can these pin-headed ideas be allowed to affect people's lives?
In my view there should be an automatic presumption of willingness to donate. Anyone who isn't willing should have to take considerable direct steps to make that plain: if they're not carrying a 'No Donor' card or otherwise clearly identifying themselves, then their organs should be harvested.
And - holders of a 'No Donor' card should not receive blood, and certainly no transplants.
So there!

Yes, I'm a proud organ donor. Got nothing to lose. Many people have everything to gain.
The only thing that worries me is that my family believe in needing your organs in the afterlife... so here I am worried that if the time comes my wish will not be granted bc they won't sign the papers. I tried convincing them, but they are so close minded about this.
If it were true that if you donate your organs, then you are reborn blind, or without a liver, etc............ don't you think that there were all of a sudden a surge of people being born without livers, kidneys and corneas? ALL at the same time?
CD's idea is great, ppl that dont want their organs harvested should be the ones working to keep them in case of an accident. Is only natural: when an animal dies in nature, others harvest the body so they can live. And animals are still being born (or reborn, whatever you believe) complete. What makes humans so untouchable?

Yes, I absolutely would. I am registered as a donor in my state, and all my family knows that I would like to donate my organs if something ever happened to me. I would like to help someone in the case I died, and I feel it might be less painful for my family if they knew other people had a chance at life through my own death.
If anyone else feels the same way, find the registry in your state and sign up. Also make sure your family knows your wishes, as they will have to sign the permission form before they can harvest your organs.

Oh your boyfriend is stupid. So think of of the loads of hundreds of folk who've been blow to bits, burned to ash, mutilated, mamed, etc in the time of time..... do you no longer think of that once all is asserted and performed and our physique & spirit are resurrected & reunited that it will ensue completely? that everybody would be made finished and suited lower back - and appropriate even? i think of donating organs is an exceedingly unselfish stunning factor to do myself.... some people get sorta grossed out with it. If in death i will help somebody else stay with the aid of this variety of donation - isn't that a great factor? i think of it rather is. while you're no longer a god believing guy or woman - nor him - i do no longer see why in the international it might matter in any respect besides.

Yes. When I get my driver's license, I'm going to be sure it's on there, that I wish to donate my organs. I'll be dead, and have no use for them, while there are millions of people on transplant lists, and the likely hood of them getting organs, rises up if I(and I have) decide to donate my organs.

Assuming that I am no longer alive as a result of this accident, then yes, I am a donor.
Upon my death, I no longer have any use for my Earthly body, so the doctor's are free to use whatever they need. The remaining parts will then be cremated.

You better believe it, I'm not going to need them anymore and thousands of people just died, waiting for an organ transplant while I answered this question.

No, when you donate your organs you don't get them again in another life. If you were to donate your eyes you will be born blind.
