Heres a simple yet effective way. Find the biggest glass or pitcher you can find fill it with water (no ice) and drink it until you need to gasp for air. Don't stop, don't take sips, just down as much water as you can. This is like a more advanced way of holding your breath.
Works for me...good luck.

the best way is to get a pint of water, put a straw in it and rest the glass on a bench or table. With your thumbs block your ears and your little fingers block your nostrils. Now gulp down the water until you cant drink anymore. all cured xxx

you can try:
-drinking running water with a spoon in your mouth
-taking five deep breaths into your cupped hands, or a bag.
these both work for me, and i get hiccups all the time, so ive tried a lot of methods. oh! and also, they usally go away if someone scares you.

My friend had really bad hiccups one day, she told me so, and a couple minutes went by. I snuck up on her and scared the pppoooppp out of her, she didn't have hiccups anymore.

Your case might be a stomach problem, though. If you have them every day, then there might be something wrong with your stomach and you should get it checked out by a doctor.

I immediately hold my breath and drink water at same time. That's all I do and it works. I keep doing it until it stops.
