well, forgive me if I am wrong, but you are catholic, correct? A very liberal one if I am not mistaken. (and from my personal opinion, a very reasonable fella)
But I have noticed a lot of christian infighting here, and hasn't this been the case ever since your great schism? Even before?
I want fundies on a different site as much as I want atheists there, that is, not at all. And really, you just know they'll just pop over and spout some more hate.

I am a Christian also, & about 95% of the people on this site is not Christians at all, they are here to agiatate, aggrevate, & iritate. If you went to another site this kind of spirit will follow you there. In my 37 yrs. as a Christian I have learn not to let it bother me, In 37 yrs. God can & will give you the grace & just plain common sense, to ignore these kind of people, There is nothing they can do or say that bothers me anymore.

In a site like this I think it's important to have the opinions of all the extremes represented. The great benefit of a site like this is it helps people understand what motivates people with ideas other than their own.
It's the extreme responses of the fundamentalists that spur the atheists on to explain our side of the story, thus allowing those who are sitting on the fence to be exposed to a much broader range of views than they might otherwise encounter in their day to day lives.

I see yahoo is somhow trying to get people of like mindedness together by initiating the network system-seeing your "answer pals" questions and encouraging people to form groups. I certainly dont like general censoring but I wouldnt mind Yahoo including the mail type option of blocking individuals from my view if I felt the member in question consistently abusive and hurtful w/o any redeeming cleverness or thought provoking qualities.
To avoid a negative trend of mood it might be better to avoid them for a bit to get a break...

Absolutely. I think the R&S site should be divided into "Fundamentalists" and "Everyone Else".
Most people in the "Everyone else" group seem to be bumping off each other, giving each other jipp, caring, joking, taking each other seriously, playing, working, heckling, enjoying, laughing, educating, etc.
Some of the atheists might have to be banished to the "fundamentalist" site as well.
There is a hell after all.

It certainly would make things a bit more peaceful here. Of course they do expose the stupidity of blind faith.
Don't you think its a bit funny that they rail at catholics because they follow the pope, but fundementalists believe everything their pastors say, not questioning even ridiculous half truths and out right lies about other faiths and science?

I agree. And another idea: they could make a special section im R&S for ALL fundamentalists. Including the Atheist and the Muslim ones. Then they could fight it out among themselves and let the rest of use communicate in peace.

They appear to all be here and they wouldn't go away if there was a dedicated fundies-only spot on the dial.
Let them rant. It's funny when they screw up.

You are generalizing TOO much. You also sound a little paranoid? An open site should be just that an open site where all can express their opinions.

all the more proof of how dangeous they are.
atleast athiests have a sense of humour.
fundies seem to follow a 'do as i say not as i do' approach.
if they don't like the rest of us, why do they keep coming back?
if they keep reporting us all, we'll all have our accounts suspended, and there will be no one here.
mabe that's what they want.
yahoo execs might be pissed about having to may customers knocked of.
peace man
