You'll get used to it. After the heart thing is over, when you behold a girl your thoughts will be immediately on whether you have enough money to take her out. If it is against your religion, then you must worry about parents. this will surely slow your heart Beat.

Oh how sweet!

Isn't it funny what emotions can do to you? Your entire body is affected by your emotions-what you think, what you feel.

In your case, you saw a girl that interested you, so your brain sent signals to the rest of your body and it reacted accordingly. Your heart beat a little faster, and most likely, your breathing became a little more rapid and shallow, and your palms became sweaty. Your temperature may have gone up just a bit also.

You probably didn't notice these other things because they are so subtle, but they were there. This happens to everyone.

I surely hope it still beats the rest of the time and you're just less aware of it.

Do you mean when you held a girl, your heart beat faster?

When you are nervous or excited, your heart beats faster and you are more aware of it. 'Nuff said. ;)
