He ordered massive amounts of free bread at dinner, and stuffed everything that wasn't nailed down into a to-go box, including the scraps of Karrisa's dinner, without even bothering to ask her if she might want it. Anyhow, at the end of Karrisa and my dinner, the waitress asked if we wanted a to-go box, and we declined. But as soon as the waitress left, I teased Karrisa by saying. "Well, I could take that scrap of pork chop you got left, and that left over crust from the bread, and the silverware is much nicer than mine." and so on.

This made Karrisa laugh, as I was teasing her about a bad date in the past. But, it also serves a second, more subversive use. Women LOVE it when you remember little things they've said, it shows you are paying attention. So, I make her laugh, and she knows I was listening.

So, I recommend the same. Listen to her stories, remember some tidbits she has shared, and then use them soon after as light teasing jokes that show you were listening. Make a good joke, and they'll love it!
