im not sure if you mean turning a subwoofer around so that it faces the trunk, but if it is i dont know why

I think this is what you mean. You can reverse bass on a subwoofer by simply switching over the wires. + to - and -to +. or if your head unit has a reverse feature do the same thing. All the radio does is switch your rms signals. you need to reverse bass if you mount you sub with the magnet facing out. This is to be in phase with your other speakers.

depends on your head unit but on my pioneer i can set reverse/normal through the control panel for my subs so maybe you have to go through there.

i also dont know what you really mean. maybe your talking about when you mount a sub backwards so instead of seeing the cone, you see the frame and guts of the woofer?
