why do you blokes never want to commit? or what is it about commitment that scares ya?

ok, so what if u knew how much the other person loved u, and u knew u wasn't gona b rejected and u still dnt want commitment

Men don't ever consciously go around looking to commit like women sometimes do (those darn body clocks!) and if they get even the slightest hint of a woman trying to push them into any commitment they'll leg it!
This is just nature running it's course - men have been for centuries the hunters and still carry some of those caveman traits now!
If you think about it, guys always seem to go for the girl who is slightly aloof or not entirely interested in them. The reason for this is that they're so busy trying to catch her and tie her down they're unaware that this is commitment until it's upon them anyway!
Commitment has to be his idea and it has to coincide with feeling like he can always walk away if he wants to. If he ever gets a sniff of you NEEDING him rather than CHOOSING to be with him, commitment suddenly becomes a chore rather than a choice.
Ask any man who is happily committed - he'll tell you his partner is independent, self-sufficient, and chooses to be with him rather than needing to be.

I dont think it is limited to just guys, I have known girls that dont do the whole commitment thing either! Everyones different and deal with things differntly. Personally if I am happy then commitment is not a problem, all comes down to communication, if you talk open and honestly, take your time and get to know each other you build your relationship on solid foundations, the commitment part just falls in to place. Its when you dont talk and are not honest with each other that things go wrong and doubts set in hence commitment becomes an issue.

Committing ourselves to a girl or a woman is a little better than committing suicide.
Look what has commitments brought to a man?? Untold sufferings, mental anguish, loosing of freedom, take care of some one's daughter, shating of finances, got to be nice to an extended family, get emotionally blackmailed by the woman (and at times the mother-in-law), and so on and so forth...
So why commit?????

i used to be afraid of commitment - the idea of having to think of someone else in everything i do was annoying. Then i decided that i wanted commitment and it was the best decision i ever made....

I'm not a dude but I think it's the thought that they'd be spending time with only one person that scares them. It's like their lives isn't entirely theirs anymore because they have someone to share it with. Plus they can't play with other girls anymore.

sorry honey......blokes who don't commit are just having fun....with you at that time or think you are not the right type. you know if guys treat you like a sexonly toy or just for fun type and not a girlfriend material. if you are the right one they will.......and become your slave.......you can slap them and treat them like sht and they will be with you still........this is the truth........
