Because all their innovation in the last year has only be cosmetic.
Here in Europe, I drive a 120 hp car that achieves close to 50MPG... find me a Ford that does the same...
They even over here are so backward that they need to buy their motors from the french to compete... that says a lot :-)
Ford drives in the US the same stupid nationalist advertisment we had in Europe 15 years ago when the japanese came: their product is so bad that they have to sell you "the image of the country" instead of the product in ads...
Would you trust such a brand ? How good are their crash teste by the way ? Is there a reason in the universe to buy Ford ?

Because they have not started manufacturing alternative energy vehicles yet. The technology is available. I'm sure that the oil companies have a lot to do with Ford not using all the technology available to come up with a new design.

I guess they think Ford engines burn too much fuel. But do they really need a valid reason to target a company ? They just need a target !!
