I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY DO IT. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT NO ONE SHOULD BE HAVING SEX UNTIL THEY ARE READY TO BE A PARENT. BABIES HAVING BABIES IS RIDICULOUS. STRICT BIRTH CONTROL SHOULD BE TAUGHT BY BOTH PARENTS AND SCHOOLS WITH TEENS SEEING GRAPHICALLY WHAT AIDS HIV STDS LOOKS LIKE AND WHAT IT CAN DO TO YOUR BODY. I DON'T THINK THE UNDERSTAND WHAT A HUGE RESPONSIBILITY HAVING A BABY IS!

Well "Rachel" Ill have you know my daughter had her child at 15 never went on the 'dole' has worked ever since the child was born, has her own clean and comfortable home. doesnt go out and party but stays home and takes care of her child. And shes 17 so there!

IIIIII_a : showing kids graphic pictures of stds wont help because they dont associate it with the cute little babies.

Teens have babies because they have sex. Finacial help from family, babies father, working, stealing, prostitution plus more. All depends on the mother, personal circumstances and support they have.

I was 17 , owned a house with my bf, he worked full time (as i did til baby came) but still i got looked down upon by 'older generation'.

I'm now 28(agh) with baby no.4 on way, still with bf who is now hubby of 9 yrs, he still works full time and we have never claimed benefits.

As for your question - SINGLE teens are irresponsible, uneducated and live of benefits, they get a house given to them for free and have an excuse not to work. They use dole money on cigarettes and going out at weekends whike someone else babysits. They spend their days going round town with their other single teen mum friends....... I'm becoming the 'older generation'!!!

I am of course referring to the SINGLE teens as I challenge any one to find one who isn't like this.

Some have settled with their bf's and hopefully this will work out but statistics show it probably won't.

Also, I will die if one of my daughters does the above before she's at least 18

because they're careless and don't think it will happen to them. Mostly the parents of the girl raises the babies. Sad when you think about all the birth control options.

they didnt make them themselves, so the father of said child has to help support the child.

today, child support is calculated by BOTH parents incomes, therefor, both parents help support the child.

if the teen goes on welfare, the father owes the money back to the state (and the state goes after them worse then the IRS to get their money back). hundreds of millions of dollars have been collected from deadbeat parents.

the state and federal government are TIRED of parents not paying for their children, so they passed stronger laws to enforce child support.

they know it helps keep parents off of welfare.
