If God created the universe for us, then why bother making all the far off parts of the unverse so interesting rather than just worrying about the bits within a few hundred lightyears of our Solar system. Or did he create for the inhabitants that he loves on the few billion other world's that probably have intelligent life.

because if he built us in a very small bubble of a universe we would still wonder what was outside the bubble; but, more importantly...because He's God. When you're God you pretty much get to create whatever you want to.

The far off parts of the universe are interesting?
Perhaps he created the interesting universe to amuse us.
Perhaps he created it as yet another test of whether people cared about things in the earthly realm or the heavanly realm.
On the scale of god, that might just be a smudge around the edge and a bit of scattered debris.
