It's ok to get angry, it's what we do when we are angry that can be good or bad. Do you use this bad language yourself? If so, that is where he picked it up. Example is the best teacher. If you don't use tose bad words, you can tell him "we don't talk like that". Put him in a time out-1 min. for every year old-so 3 min. or just put him in a "naughty spot", ask him why he is there (after explaining we don't use words like that), ask him why he is there, and when he tells you the reason, let him go play. That is what my neice did with two of her six kids when visiting me a few years back. Take care.

Well, you could find out what he's angry about and try to fix it.....

You should probably find the source of the words... maybe late TV, neighbours, etc. have put those words into his head, and he thinks it's appropriate to use them when he having a tanty. If you get rid of the source, then he might stop.

Put him around good influences. Who is his hero? Arrange a meeting if you think this person is a sensible one. Let him see that the person he looks up to doesn't act like he does.

Try ignoring him. That can often work. Tell him off first, but if he doesn't comply, then turn around and continue with your work. As long as you make sure he doesn't do anything dangerous, then it's fine to ignore him.

Maybe you could make him watch things that are rated G or P, General or Preschool. Things like Playschool, the Teletubbies or the Fimbles can be very influential on kids and show their creative, nice side.

Give him treats when he's good, and punishments when bad.
Eg. When he helps you get something, give him a lolly or two.
When he gets aggressive, make him eat brussel sprouts (or anything he dislikes) for a day or two.

Give him attention when he asks for it.
"Mummy/Daddy, can I have a hug?"
"Of course you can..."

Be happy generally. Kids don't like seeing their own parents upset. They tend to think that they have to act that way too.

Tell him that it's ok to be angry, but " bad words " is a no no.
You request him to say sorry to whoever he says the "bad words".

He sounds frustrated/bored. Find something to occupy his mind. Ignore his bad language and he will stop using it.

Every time he misbehaves he needs to have a consequence. What is important to him? A favorite toy, blanket, game, find out what is important to him and take it away every time he misbehaves. If you do not give a consequence he has no motivation for changing.

Spank him and/or put him on the "naughty chair". If he gets off of it (guaranteed), put him back on it til he gets so tired, he will give up. Then you make him apologize to you.
