I am planning to buy this for my budgies ans use them as feeders and drinkers. what do u think? Is it too deep for them to reach for seeds/water?

Its fine,but a clear perspex one would be even better,enabling the bird to see through it. As for water...........a definite NO. Its better to have a tubular water bottle with a spout at the bottom for drinking. An open one will allow bird droppings to enter the water, and anything else come to that. Budgies need to be kept scrupulously clean to keep them healthy, ensuring a long life.

It is fine for food and water the budgies can reach to the bottom mine have never had any trouble with them as feeders or for water but I also have a pot plant saucer in the bottom of the cage as this acts a bird bath for them and they love it

For seeds i would say it is fine you may need a more open top for water as if the level goes down on a hot day they may not be able to reach it but ask at the place you are gonna buy your budgies,
for food i would say it is fine!

I have these feeder cups. Just take the cover off. It is too hard to get into for any bird with it on.

Take the tops of those kind...they dont like them and actually make more seed spill using them.....they can also starve because they wont want to put their head in there.
