i am the same way. i notice if i use good posture when i sit the pain isn't as bad. and exercise helps too. it is not a disease, so there is no cure. there is a web site; losethebackpain.com, that gives ideas of what may be causing the pain. i cannot vouch for it, but there are a lot of testimonies. check it out and good luck.

all damage to your back is permanent, so if you have ever damaged your back before it could be the cause, it could be the way you are sleeping, your mattress, your chair, from lifting heavy weights or simply lifting incorrectly. Go and see a chiropractor

Have you been slouching while sitting down for the last couple of years? That could be the problem to your back. I dunno but a physio could possibly be the answer to curing it?
