Of course you can write an open letter to the President. I encourage you to do so, and cc a copy to your congressman. The reason I say cc it is because 85% of our citizens want out of Iraq, and because we are still there- yours and all of our representatives are not doing their job, so its time to go over their heads.
I applaud you for your courage and using your voice. You have every right and dont let anyone tell you different or talk you out of it because it wont matter or some other excuse.
It will matter to you and you will feel better for doing it. It a more positive approach than sitting on the sidelines complaining to the choir!

You could, but he probably isn't going to care. He's going to do what he is going to do, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks. I believe as long as he's president, we're just stuck in Iraq. He may not even read your letter.
The best thing for you to do is write your local congressman (or woman) and tell them. Then, when Election Day rolls around, vote for the best suited candidate that plans to pull us out. Alot of other people who agree with you will, too. And then we'll have a better chance of pulling out.
Hope this helps. ;)

You can write to the President via the White House, although he surely will not be reading it first, if at all....He is also very much aware of what most people are thinking,.
I agree that the war is going on too long, and yet I support the President and what we were trying to do. However, I, unfortunately, believe we are not going to Change the minds of the people there that have been Brainwashed for decades to hate Americans, and that we must die, so they can take over.
I wish that when we shocked and awed, we turned the whole place into glass. Done.

Of course you can write a letter to the President of the United States expressing your concerns about anything; but, don't expect to get anything other than a form letter or one written by a staff assistant.
Even if you write your congressman, you won't get anything but a form letter. Don't be so naive to think that your concerns are important enough to merit a personal response.

Yes, you can write the letter (assuming you are still literate by the time you put the epistle together). However, do you really think he reads any of his own mail? I mean, does Santa Claus read his mail?! Santa doesn't always give us what we want. Why would you thinkg W would?

You can write him a open letter, or send one to him directly at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC... He will even send you back an acklowledgment for your letter... You'd do better writing your Congressman...

Sure, you have the freedom to write such a letter. I disagree with your view, but I know people who would defend to the death your right to say it! Cheers.

You can - but the president doesn't even listen to the UN, so I doubt your letter would do much good.
