Common sense tells you that any artificial flavours, colours, sweeteners etc are probably bad for you, but also the fizziness is a problem. The little bubbles in soda can pull the calcium out of bones, so if you drink a lot of it, you could end up with troubles like osteoperosis (a brittleness of bones) and other problems later in life. Best stick to good old water!

Diet soda has no sugar but it has many artificial sweeteners like phenalanelyne ( not sure on the spelling) but these chemicals are not natural and have been thought to cause cancer so it is better to drink the sugar ones which may turn into fat but alteast they won't give you cancer and your body knows how to process sugar but not the artificial chemicals!

Yes! You would be much better off drinking the normal version, although you would gain weight!
If you really want to know more, check out the source below, and better still watch the doco "Sweet Misery", you will never consume any of those chemicals again!
I will not eat anything that has any of the 950 sweetners listed on the ingredients!

All sodas are bad for you. They are very acidic. Too much acid in your diet can cause a condition called acidosis. For your body to be healthy it has to be slightly alkaline.
