More evil now than in the past?? Where do you get that from?? Quite the contrary. Despite what various religious groups claim we have never had it better. There are world organizations for health, aid, child protection, women's rights, medical care you name it. Wars can not be fought without the consent of the people and the UN. Evil was WWII and WWI. Evil was the British empire. Even more evil was the Spanish Empire. You really do not want to know about the Romans, Alexander, and definitely the stone age. The further back you go the worst it gets. Amazingly we have the potential to do Evil on an unprecedented scale but we seem to have it under control. The Romans would have absolutely 0 compulsions for not using such power.

I'm not sure, but have you noticed, that each avatar came only when there were mass prayers, and people as a whole prayed to God to come to earth and save them?? Religion has always taught us that it is faith that matters.
Nowadays, so many people do not have faith in God..... perhaps that is why we don't see avatars nowadays when we have more evil than we had in the past.
