That was a cruel comment from Jingles. Ignore.Every case is individual. You are obviously a good loving parent or you wouldn't bother looking into specialist needs. Sorry I can't help with the school ... presumeably you have contacted the various support groups in your area?
Good Luck,
Anna

I Don't know where you are located but here in the states we have a special needs school in every major city....Most public schools have special education departments within the system. It is my experience with ADHD kids that with the proper encouragement during the child's learning experience it makes for a better overall day later on for them. BTW, I didn't care for that comment by the J character either. Only a person that has a child or has dealt with an ADHD or special needs child would know what it means to need help with children like your son. The uneducated masses that we have to deal with on an everyday basis is exactly why we have a hard time getting people to understand the severity and degree in which it is necessary to have the special needs schools and behavioral disorder counselor's. In saying that, have you tired a psychiatrist. I know that it sounds a bit much, but if you asked one he/she may be able to turn you in the right direction. If you find the right additional education in conjunction with regular schooling you may solve your behavioral problem. He may still have his bad days, but hopefully you can get a more manageable handle on things.

If the local school cannot provide the help that you need within the school, then by law they half to help you find that help out side the school, and they are suppose to pay for the tuition as well. My son has ASD and was going to a private ABA school where we live. I am not sure how to help you find a school, but I do know what your rights are.

If the school is telling you they cannot help, then they need to provide the means in which to help.

OMFG. Lol. I'm 13 and was referred to a behavior skool for 9 weeks but I started last week on Thursday and it's too much. I went for ONE day and missed Friday and ain't even going this week, my mom's trying to get my back in regular skool.

Behavior skool is horrible. I was bullied to death in there, teachers don't care. Teachers basically let you do whatever you want.. these girls were bullying me cuz i was the new kid there and I cussed their asses out in class and was about to pop them and the teacher didn't do nothing. Kids were eatting candy bars in class.. it was terrible.

In math, guess what we got to do? Watch the Basket ball game and for every commercial, you had to write down what commercial it was.. is that even math?? LOL and I'm in the 7th grade.

I was probably the only normal kid, I mean these kids had to be ADD positive.. I was thinking to myself that I don't belong here.

You would think they would be strict but they aren't, not even close. It's like Kindergarden without a teacher.

Maybe you could send her for one day. No more than one day if you want her to be ahead with her regular school and actually learn something at school because I swear, all you learn in Behavior Skool is how to cuss, start fights, hate and that's it.

Good luck.

Your son does NOT need a 'behavioral school' - he NEEDS a change in diet. NO SWEETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you'll be amazed at the changes - oh, by the way, stop the medication too.
