what is the best beach to go in the south east or south of england?

I want somewhere that has nice hotels and will be hot in the summer

i know that this is alot to ask seen as its england.

Try the south coast of Cornwall. As you are young you should love St Ives, which is well known for its artistic connection, you should bump into lots of enthusiastic young people. From St Ives you could go onto other lovely places.

Bournemouth in Dorset has lovely hotels and a Sandy beach and is a university town so again should have a youthful trendy feel!

You can't guarantee that it will be hot in the UK in summer but you will have some good times.

A stretch of beach not far from Broadstairs called Stone Bay.in Kent.
Its not as its name suggests its full of nice gold sands a nice little sun trap, not many people know of it. I'll be honest and say that I don't know much about the hotels there because we always drive there for day trips.

Its not that far from Margate Ramsgate or Herne Bay. Herne Bay festival is a nice place to visit. Go see the carnival, some live music fireworks. Thats on the First and Second Saturday in August. Visit www.hernebayfestival.co.uk to find out what goes on.

Nicest beach (in terms of lots of sand, safe areas for kids, not too crowded and very clean) in SE England is probably Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. For South England, go for Cornwall definitely.

Stay AWAY from Southend! The beach there is pretty horrible.

You cannot guarantee the weather will will be hot (or even dry) in the UK no matter where you go and when you go there. Its just down to luck if you hit good weather or not.

there's a great place called St Mary's Bay that's on the south east tip of England.

Auto-route or the AA road planner will tell you how to get there.

It's really lovely.

There's also another Beach at Sandwich i think it is?
It's a private so you have to pay about £5 a car.

But if you want things to do then you need either Brighton or Hastings but the beaches aren't that great.

But HOT?? hmm i you can't guarantee that anywhere in England hun. lol

Not sure about places to stay, but for a truly unspoilt beach, not built up in any shape or form - West Wittering - think it was reviewed as the UK's equivalent of the Hamptons! Essentially pebbled beach with big surf club and lots of swanky houses backing onto the beach and then miles of glorious sand once the tide goes out. There's no guarantee it'd be hot though!

Littlehampton is nice has sandy beaches and is on the main train line. But if you want some fun night life you be better off going to Devon and Cornwall St Ives in Cornwall, and Weymouth in Somerset. I think there are loads and we will have a heat wave this year

In England...you gotta be joking.. don't think the beaches are too great in England PERSONALLY!!! Better of using our money and going abroad... even somewhere reasonable like Greece, or Spain for 1 week last minute deal.. would be better..

BUT, you could try Brighton, South-End, or Devon...

Sorry Brighton is not a beach. A beach has sand and Brighton consists of shingle.

Go to the Southwest for the best beaches or the channel islands. I hear Bournemouth is good.

west wittering is good ,for a sandy beach but not alot else is there for a good alround place to go is the isle of wight sandown or shanklin good beaches and lots of tourist attractions (best climate as is the furthest south in the south/south east)

Camber Sands, near Rye is a lovely sandy beach, with loads of historic towns nearby to explore
