GSK Pharma is marketing the chickenpox vaccine. one requires to take an adult dose initially and a booster dose subsequently at a later date. The 2 doses may cost Rs. 2500 to 3000 approx. It may take few months before you acquire immunity. Hence, one should plan well in advance. Taking a vaccine during an epidemic may not be helpful. However, consult your family physician.
