I was wondering why most of the guys i went out with told me that their friends with their exes and if we broke up we will always be friends. We break up and i try to friends, they try to have sex or be intimate, i just want to be friends and they drop off the planet. Whats up with this?

Basically, its because they want more than friendship. You have rejected them and changed the status of the relationship, and they really enjoyed the intimacy they had with you and that is hard to give up. It is hard to people to accept that no means no. Another way of looking at it, is how would you feel if you were really into a guy, loved being intimate with him and then he says, no I don't feel that way anymore, I want to date others, but we can be friends. How okay with that with you be. Frinds and exes are not the same. Once the sexual attraction is gone, it is over.
Basically you set limits they don't like so they move on.

Because you and that guy can't be "just friends". Most guys that even just want a fling will stick around coming back and forth putting in an attempt every now and then. A guy that drops off the planet is hurt big time and chose to go find himself and heal his broken heart.

Because it's hard to just sweep all the history and feelings under the rug. We're not machines who can turn feelings on and off. I have the same problem, if I've been intimate with someone I can't go back and be their friend so I don't try to be their friend, I don't try to be anything to them but a memory.

This day's there is now friend i think they just want to have sex or be intimate you are right but you could find someone who will be 100% your friend so don't give up and try harder,have a nice day.

No worry, you can be my friend, after all you cant blame them its all natural. Force of attraction, that you might have studied in lower class. Every other guy is searching for some thing extra.... human tendency for some thing more. Its like marathon all young, child, aged are in this race. Its main reason is none are facing each other directly they get the extra boost to have a chance to try their luck.

probably a coward. they too scared to say hey i only wanted u for sex its over, so they pretend like o yeah lets be freinds or whatever, the disappear cuz they too cowardly to face u to ur face about it.
