It smells okay, lots of preserves, from Walmart. Of course, it has been refrigerated properly.

Oh, come on, a tiny little bit? Like less than a 1/4 teaspoon, less than an eight of teaspoon? I actually scraped it of my quesadilla, so there was only trace amounts. Plus with all the preservatives Walmart uses---there should have been tons of water on top of the sour cream, but there was none! I think it was fine, we are way to uptight about we eat in the day and age of super preserves.

By the way, I made a pork tenderloin tonight that my boyfriend loved....the thermometer said it was cooked past 160...as recommended (actually most cooks recommend pork cooked to 150 only, as it cooks the rest of the way out of the oven) and it was PINK in the middle....and even a little on top....pink in spotty parts. We ATE it and we are ALIVE....HA Ha HA. It was delicious, too!

People are so ridiculously anal about stuff like that, if it smells ok and looks ok I'd try a tiny bit and if it tasted ok I'd eat it- two weeks is probably the oldest I'd eat something. It wasn't that long ago that stuff didn't even have sell-by dates or 'eat within this many days'- when did we lose the ability to judge for ourselves whether something's edible or not?

I wouldn't chance it. I would suggest using it within 5 days to be on the safe side
