Contact your local correctional facility (jail) area hospitals. Also be aware that due to HIPAA laws, hospitals sometimes are not very forthcoming with information. If you are unable to find out anything, contact the law enforcement agency for your area and find out if you can make a missing persons report. Try to provide as much detailed information as possible personal and vehicle description. Marks, scars, tattoos, and anything else that would help to identify your friend. Often times people end up in hospitals with no ID and are listed as Jane/John Does until they can provide their information or can be identified by other means.

People who go to prison enter a processing facility to determine where they best should serve sentence. All who enter this process must wait it out before outside contact is
permitted. Security concerns limit communication in this.
Telephone Public Hospital and Jail to inquire if admittance is on record. Full name, DOB, SSN, Residence... all is helpful.
