Does anyone has ever heard a connection or is it possible to get sore throat even after you remove your tonsils? thanks

Your tonsils are glands that help fight infection and happen to be located in your oral pharynx (throat). When they are removed, you are still susceptible to infection of the soft tissue of your throat or other irritations causing soreness.
Just the removal of the tonsils does not guarantee you a lifetime free of colds or a sore throat.

A sore throat and tonsilitis are two different things. A sore throat can be caused by a cold or being in chilly weather and breathing in the cold air. Tonsilitis is an infection. If that is what it is, then you will have swelling in your throat and there is a good chance that you will be able to see the shape of your tonsil if you look in a mirror. Also generally there is a temperature involved and trouble swallowing due to the enlarged tonsils. If you have very many of the symptoms that I listed I would go see a doctor.

If you are having Frequent Sore Throat Pain You Could Very Well Have a Chronic Inflamation,Infection or Allergy You Should See Your Doctor so they can take a Culture of your Throat to see what might be growing there---The other possibility is if you are Drinking then you could be Getting Errosions in your Esophagus from the Alcoholic Content,Depending on your age,Health & Drinking Habits---You May be coming in contact with something you are allergic to Periodically & Not Know it. Doctors can do an allergy Screening test to find out WHAT,if any ,allergies you have---Some people,Without realizing it,use Strong Gargles to clean their mouth and throat out---they are killing off the normal defensive growth there and allowing foreign organisms to attack our throat.---These are Just a Few Major Possibilities,---Your Doctor Knows More---Signed---JEM

It IS December so it's not so weird to be sick, and when I was 5 my throat got sore a lot. My 4 yr old niece was sick a couple weeks ago & then got sick again last weekend into Tuesday. Give your body time to recover properly & make sure that any medicine you take, you take it properly. My dad got his tonsils removed a long time ago .. definitely talk to a doctor.

The air there is probably alot cooler, the climate may be a reason. You might sleep with your mouth open sometimes and it dries out your throat causing it to be sore.
