It is a therapy group that teaches better coping skills through positive thinking. People with borderline personality disorder have an all or nothing mentality. It is all good or all bad. An example from a BPD is a thought that "Everyone is mad at me" dialectical behaviour therapy would say "Who is everyone? I am not mad at you, ect ect, it teaches them that their negative thought process is not a reliable one. It teaches them to redirect their negative thinking into positive thinking. Get the CD set from Dr. Wayne Dyer called being in balance. I am a BPD I did DBT and I found more help from the CD's then I did the DBT. Good luck.
