Hello Gordonmother's

Buy steak mince from butcher or supermaket. Put it in large bowl and add a chopped onion, bread crumbs (not a lot) and the white of a egg to bind it together. Once well mixed roll flat on some grease proof paper and cut into burger shapes. Then wrap any you don't use into some more grease proof paper and store in fridge.

Once you have tried these then you won't go back to the rubbish in the shops.

Take care and enjoy, Hedgy the fat Hedgehog xx (chef)

ingredients: 1 egg, minced meat (the quantity depends on how many burgers you want...if many, increase th other ingregients as well), flour, 1 onion chopped, other herbs such as thyme and meat seasoning, salt and pepper.

beat the egg. mix the egg, meat, flour, onion and spices until a firm paste is obtained (i.e. if you put a wooden spoon in the mixture it will hold straight and start tipping over only gradually). Use common sense, if its too dry add more egg....

make into burger sized shapes and cook in a frying pan with a little oil and medium heat (200 C).

fresh breadcrumbs from 6 slices of bread
salt & pepper
a dash of mixed herbs
1 egg
