no, he hugs both, in fact i rather hug the girl i like best - last.
but mostly it is whoever is closest at the parting. and for someone to pervert a simple departing gesture amongst friends, then that, is a the pity not the order of the hugs

No, the first hug is almost expected by certain friends. The second he asked out of courtesy because he didn't know how comfortable you--or whoever would feel about it. Not everybody is a hugging type person. But, if he gave one girl a hug, and not give the other girl a hug, wouldn't she feel left out? I don't see it as a pity hug.

Sounds like you might have taken this too personally.

Group hugs are okay, but to get the full effect of any emotional expression that can be delivered in a hug, it is always best one on one. The major problem with this is you can only hug one at a time and this means some sort of "hugging order" develops.

It sounds to me like the guy felt closer to the first girl or knew that the hug would not be rejected. One of the things that gets pushed into a modern guys consciousness in our current social situation: "Not Without Permission".

I would say that the guy wanted to hug you but wanted to make sure that it was okay. Next time he hugs you concentrate on the feeling you get with the hug. I would be willing to bet that it is not pity.

no body knows except for the guy, but maybe that second hug means a sign of fundness, not pity hug, well it also depends on the situation of the girl,! if she has a problem or something.

Well sometimes you have to just do it and take a chance you never know what will become of it. So just give him a hug and be like "I'm gonna miss hanging out over the summer!" and that just might strike up a hang out date for the summer, never know. But take a chance! Good Luck!

Certainly not. What makes you think. Hugging one friend after the other is the order. And mind well, hugging does not mean love.

not some much a "pity hug" but a "polite hug." It keeps it from anyone feeling awkward. Accept them, and soon they'll become real geniune hugs :D

More likely it was an "I'm not sure if we're close enough friends to automatically give you a hug, so I'll do the safe thing and ask" hug.

That's usually why I ask anyways.

Hope this helps!

I don't think so. Maybe its his nature to give a hug everytime a girl leaves.

Most likely not depending on the relationship the guy has with both of his female friends. You have to take into consideration
the closeness he has with either of these friends.
