Me and my friend practice what he calls “room entry” techniques. We are civilians is this tactical entry only for soldiers or is it practically normal for us to do this?

As long as you both aren't naked, I think it's all in fun. :)

Room entry techniques are a tactical way of room entry that lowers the injury possibility for the entry team, and innocent bystanders in the building. These techniques, though looking military in nature, are used by Special Tactics police teams in everyday dealings for high risk building entries. So the basic answer to your question is yes it's both a military, and police tactic for high risk building entries.

sure its ok, but make sure you practice correctly, there is a technique to it and if you ever have tto use it in real life, its better to know how to do it right, it will save your life and maybe your friends, police use the same tactics, room entry, then you have room clearance, which must also be done right,

Perhaps he wants to be a cop at some point, they practice tactical entries as well.

So the whole thing is you wanna know if you are normal for practicing room entry?

I'd be more concerned about whether you are doing it properly. Who taught your friend?

Children like to play war.
If you're old enough to ask the question on the web then you're old enough to do it for real.
Either join up or admit you're a coward.
