How would you arrange 3 matches on top of 3 wine glasses, so each match touches the other two.

lay the wine glasses out in a triangle and similarly put the three matches in a triangle formation touching each other on top of the glasses

put the 3 glasses into a triangle shape then the matches go on the edges of glass 1 to glass 2 touch the match on glass 2 to the match that goes from 2 to 3 the do the same from 3 to 1

1) Arrange the glasses in a triangular shape.
2) Balance one match stick in the small dip in the glass.the sticks should be forming a triangle and touching the tops of each other..

this sounds really dumb... i dont think the wine glasses being there makes it any more difficult.
