Which air conditioner consumes lower electricity - window or split? also suggest a good brand?

I m in to electronics and I would like to frankly tell you that Split or Window ac don't consume different wattage as the wattage is the same what matters is how much ton (1 ton, 1.5 , 2) etc are you looking out for, if u r room is very small you can go for a a 1 ton but I would suggest a 1.5 ton if you have a regular medium room along with that I would also like to suggest you to go for a Window ac, as it needs less maintenance and can be cleaned by the home user also plus it starts imeediately as you start it whereas Split Ac will start the compressor (actual cooling) after 3 minutes from the switching on.... The brands in my order to buy would be
1) O' General (though expensive but is worth every penny)
2) Hitachi
3) Lg or Voltas

the slected brand will be TCL
if it is small room then you can go for 1 ton or .8 ton
these two will consume low current
maintance free
