Yes He can send a Buddhist to heaven. For the 2nd one it would have to be a phony Christian.
God knows what is in each persons heart. A Buddhist may be closer to Christ than a self proclaimed "Christian".

Of course I would agree that anything is possible with God! He tells us so (and has proved it over and over). But He also says He is true to His Word and His Word says He wouldn't do that. So who am I to question His judgment or His Word? As a Christian, my job is to tell the story of Christ and share the good news of His love to all who want to hear. I will leave the rest to a loving and merciful and just God. I can't try to justify why or if another will go to Heaven a different way. I wish I could. Be blessed!

"If God can do anything could He send a Buddhist to heaven and send a Christian to hell? "
He will keep His word. That's what He does. So the answer to your question is 'no'. He told us what He wants-- trust. He can't expect perfection, but we can learn to trust Him.
So can a Buddhist trust the God of Moses through Jesus Christ? Perhaps. So there's your answer.

your right
i think that if a buddhist was good in his/her life, and did what God asks us to (even if they didnt realise it was what God wanted them to do) and they are kind and do good for others, i think that they would go to heaven and be rewarded.
If a "christian' was very bad, nasty to everyone, doesn't do what God wants them to do and totally disregards all that the bible teaches, then i don't think that their chances of going ot heaven are very high
just becasue someone is a chrsitian, it doesn't mean that they are perfect and will always do the right thing and be nice and loving all the time etc..
some people claim to be 'christian' and go to mass and everything, but when they come out they are absolutely horrid and act in a non christian manner
we are not God and we don't know how he will judge us, but if we are good He will reward us.
hope this helps
God bless
p.s. i am a christian

Dear John S,
The God of the Bible would not merit being followed- if He was not true to all of His promises. One thing God promises is that His word is truthful.
In that sense, God will not send a Buddhist to Heaven and a Christian to Hell (not because He couldn't if He chose to), but because He has revealed to people how to go to Heaven and that's by putting one's faith in Jesus. The Buddhist will not do this and the Christian has chosen to.
God would not be a good God if he didn't keep His promises. If God did this (the scenario you suggested above) it would not be fair to anyone who chose not to put their faith in him or vice versa, and that would make Him a different God than the God of the Bible who not only is worthy of worship but is good!
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

God would if He were contradictive to His word. John 3:16 says that whoever believes in Him (Jesus Christ) shall have eternal life. However, eternal life does NOT necessarily mean heaven because the scriptures says that eternal life to know the one true God. But there it is...

wow how did you get so confused? their is one thing God can't do thats lie, he is the truth, and the truth can't lie, if you knew anything about God, or the bible you would of known that already, you would also have known, that no one on earth was ever good, in our selves except God. would you being evil give your child a stone instead of bread, God never sends any of his children to hell, they are perfectly capable, of finding it on their own, through their own selfishness and greed.. he puts before us life and death, and pleas with us to choose life, to many of us choose poorly!!

One thing God cannot do: He cannot go against His own word. That would make Him a liar...and God cannot lie.
