There's a dance and gymnastics school in my town and the first age group is 3. However, in the summer time they have a 'mommy & me' dance group for under 3. I don't think many places would take kids under 3 for the fact that they'd be more babysitting them instead of teaching them.

For most dance schools, its usually age 3. Many do offer "mommy and me" type dance classes for children under 3 though.

Call a dancing school and ask them.

My cousin started ballet when she was three. I would call the school to ask for sure.
