I am very overweight. Tried exercise but the motivation doesnt last. Trying to restrict my calories, but after eating so much all the time I am still hungry after normal healthy meals. How do I stop the hunger cravings?

Time. The only way for your body to become accustomed to the smaller portions is time.

If you are having problems keeping up with the exercise then try to do an exercise each time you have a craving. This will serve two goals. It will eventually replace the food craving with an exercise craving and it will help to reduce the want for food. Don't try to do too much just try a little at a time. Like when you have a craving do a few push ups. Then the next time do a few sit ups. And so on.

Also to keep up with the exercise. Try to do something like walk to a specific place or go to a landmark and park a good distance away then walk to that. Or park further away from work and this will force you to walk a little more. As you feel more and more comfortable increase your distances. If you have a definite goal with each "workout" it will be easier to keep the motivation.

Going to the gym or going for a random run can be very boring. Do anything to make it a little more appealing.

Good luck with quest

Normally people eat because they are bored or it is a habit, not that they are hungry. Did you know that most of the time when your body tells you it is hungry, it is actually thirsty and needs water? Try drinking water instead, and it is sheer willpower that you need to help quit your binge eating. I had the same problem, but I wasn't really overweight. I just wasn't at the weight I think was normal for me. I got on the scale before I tried to eat more then two meals a day, and the numbers on the scale helped me to stop lol.

Try only eating 1500-2100 calories per day. That is supposed to keep your weight normal, but if you are already going over those calories, it will help alot.

Although I'm not terribly overweight, I understand your hunger cravings. I have put on about ten pounds in the last 3 months, all around my waist. I was eating non stop (snacking) and couldn't control my appetite. It really sounds as if you just need to stop your cravings. Below is a link to some information on Hoodia that might just be your solution. I am not affiliated with that product but it does sound like it might work for you....Good luck

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

When you feel like eating, eat alkaline food. It will not make you fat.

Fats are nothing more than stored acid. If you continue to take acidic food, even with exercise you cannot get rid of fats. Therefore you must solve the weight problem at the source : eating acidic food. By taking alkaline food, you prevent the intake of acid to create more fats. Besides doing exercise, you must eat only alkaline food.
Read the book "pH miracle for weight loss". See photos of people losing weight at ease. If you want to loose weight super fast, there is an alkaline liquid diet. According the book, people are loosing 10 pounds or more within the first 8 days. Go to the website below to see which food (and even fruits) that are acidic.

Hunger cravings are hard to stop. The trick is to choose the correct food when it happens. Try to store some vegetable sticks - carrot strips, celery strips or fruits in your fridge. And whenever you crave for food, reach for these. Another trick is to make sure you chew them for a longer period then swallow. By chewing onto your food, you will be sending messages to your brain that you are eating, hence making you feel fuller.

Watching the time of your food intake also helps. Because our body has its own clock ticking, one should try to eat at similar time daily so that you will feel hungry only at similar time daily. It may be difficult at first, but once you are used to it, your body will only feel the hunger bangs at similar time everyday, hence lessening your carvings.

If you find that you get hungry make sure that you eat every two to three hours. Eat small meals though. Your meals should include a portion of lean protein and good carbs such has wholewheat breads, oats, fruits and vegetables. Also make sure that you are drinking enought water. You can also feel "hungry" if your body is dehyrdated. Try drinking chilled water as it assists your body with burning calories.

Eating regulary will also stop your body from thinking that your are starving

Avoid refined foods and sugar as these foods cause you blood levels to spike which in turn will cause you to feel hungry.

I always try to eat low GI foods as these foods release sugar into the blood slowly which also helps you to feel fuller for longer.

Try oats in the mornings, wholewheat sandwiches (with lean/light fillings) for lunch and potatoes (not fried) or wholewheat pastas for supper.

You also need to avoid the bad fats from butter and oils and try to go for the good ones like olive oil, low fat dairy. Also try to get your fats from natural sources. You could eat more oily fish (salmon, sardines...) and include nuts (almonds, walnuts) in your diet instead of adding fats to your food. Also remember that moderation is key cause even too much good fats could sabatoge your efforts.

One thing that works very well for me is brushing my teeth immediately after meals. This way I don't want to ruin that nice fresh feeling in my mouth with a snack for thirty minutes or so, and usually by that time the hunger goes away.
