i think you meant gherkin which is a small picle about 1 inch long and has a sweet taste to the sour pickle.....they taste similar to pickle relish but just tiny little pickles....

don't know what a zerkin is but a gerkin is a vegetable, great chopped [you can buy this prepared in a jar] and served on hot dogs.

It is also great chopped up in mayo to make a sauce for fish
