If he was in the navy you may want to find someone in the navy and see if they can locate him through the military locator. He may still be in the Navy, who knows.

You can also do searches online, there are some databases that private persons can have access to. Dont pay a lot, shop around because a lot of them are usually from the same database. If you pay more than 20 bucks for one search, you paid too much.
