The darker you dye you hair the harder it is to go back to a lighter shade. If you dye your hair black be 100% sure that that is the color you want because you wont be able to go back unless you cut your hair. You can always test different shades bye getting semi permanent hair dye... it should wash off in about a month so you can try something new every month or so. But be careful when dyeing your hair often... it will leave your hair feeling like straw. Make sure to wait a few weeks before dyeing your hair again. I suggest you consult a hair stylist you confide in first. :o)

It' EASY To Darken Your Hair. (It's Just Hard Keeping It That Way) You Should Use A "Temporary" Color To Try-Out Darker Hair, That Way It Will Just Wash-Out If You Don't Like It. When You Find A Color You Like, Get A "Demi-Permanent" Color (CLAIROL® Natural Instincts⢠Or L'OREAL® Castingâ¢) It Will Last As Long As Permanent Haircolor (Which You Would Have To "Root Retouch" Every 4-6 Weeks Anyway) And When You Wanted A Change, You Wouldn't Be Stuck With A Major Remove/Recolor Job. Good-Luck!

Remember to start small. You can always go darker but color correction is expensive, not to mention the to damage to your hair. Do a test swatch on a small lock of hair, to figure out how long you want to leave it on and to be sure your getting the color results you want. If it's a really dark color be careful to not get it on your skin or you will have a stain for a few days. When it starts growing out just touch up the roots.

If it is your first time, get a professonal help from your hair dresser.... if your skin is too light, don't make your hair too dark coz it might look like a wig. if you wanna darken it, choose the natural looking one. but if you won't have it done in the hair dresser's, start to dye from the ends and go to the root.. you can use chestnut colour...

Since its your first time go to a salon. Your regrowth wouldnt be that bad either which is good. It also depends if you want semi or permanent. Ask your salon whether semi would be good because it tends to last longer than normal the first time you get it done.

Go to either a hair salon... they don't cost that much, or ask one of your freinds, to come over and help.. if it is your first time, you might wanna be careful and pay close attention because alot of first timers, miss streaks of hair and don'tget the roots

dont go too dark, just go a shade or two darker at first because its easier to make it darker than lighter.
