Think how much happier everyone would be to know that God loved them!

There would be no more war!

We could have global peace, & no-one would fight!

How deluded is this?????
Clearly, most wars are caused by religion.
Most terrorists are extremely religious.
The real answer is quite the opposite. Take away religion and we all benefit.
Put an atheist in as the president (or equivalent) in every country in the world and see how things change. Better still, even though I am a male, make every president a female atheist. Yes. Much better idea.
Yours is a stupid idea.

Oh, I'm sorry. I initially thought that I was in agreement with you until I saw the rest of your entry. The way I feel is that most problems are a RESULT of religion - organized religion, that is, and it's many biases. Never have I seen so many hate-filled, self-righteous, judgmental people as many self-professed "Christians" who feel it is their duty to judge others (while seeming to forget that a sin is a sin regardless of what it is, and I believe I read in the Bible that we are ALL sinners, did I not?!?). I love how one person mentioned our wonderful *wink wink* President - one of the prime examples that can be pointed to here! On another note, you do realize that almost every war has been started due to some form of religious dispute, right?

Because religion is one of the biggest CAUSES of problems.

You know who is happy that God loves them? Palestinian Muslims and Isreali Jews. Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland. Muslims and Christians in Lebanon. Christians and Muslims in Sudan. In fact, Christians and Muslims straight across the Sahel region of Africa. Muslims and Hindus in the subcontinent. Eastern Orthodox Xians and Muslims in Boznia-Herzegovina. Sunni and Shia in Iraq. Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Xians in what used to be Yugoslavia. This last one has gone on for centuries, and played no small part in triggering WWI.

You know who believed they will be happy with God forever? Suicide bombers. The 9/11 hijackers. One doesn't pull off such attacks without an unshakable faith in God.

And that's just the *recent* wars.

Then there's religion's astonishing tendency to find some evil in many of modern medicine's attempts to cure disease, and appealing to civil government to block the research. As if religion has ever cured so much as a hangnail.

The Catholic Church and the Our Glorious Christian Leader in the USA undermine the fight against AIDS in Africa because they're afraid that somebody might have sex. In the USA, stem cell research is hogtied because some religion claims that a cluster of cells has the same rights as a grown person. A cervical cancer vaccine is opposed because--again--some religion is afraid that somebody might have sex. Religion, for no reason other than "god sez so," will have people die before it will let them have sex.

And then there's the hypersensitivity over a concept. The Islamic riots over some cartoons, a Pope reading from a book, an imaginary Qu'ran flushed down an imaginary toilet, and a newspaper editorial that dared suggest that Muhammad might appreciate a beauty pageant. The death fatwa over a book.

Don't consider Christianity off the hook. The secular governments that have risen throughout Christendom have revoked the churches' historical power to torture and kill. (And the churches have the balls to accuse secularization of undermining morals.) But intolerance still shows in Christians' cries of "persecution" every time a non-Christian dares to claim equal rights as citizens. They claim they're being "attacked" whenever someone gives their faith the same level of criticism that any non-religious idea receives routinely. They attempt to install their religion into government, and when someone objects, they claim that atheists want to remove religion from public view, or that every religion is being favored over Christianity. Even when OTHER CHRISTIANS move to protect religious freedom--e.g., the court case that banned organized prayer in public schools--it comes out that Madalyn Murray O'Hair evicted God from the schools.

Tell me again how religion answers problems and brings peace and happiness?

I somehow agree with you but PARTLY.

First, what you foresee will not happen...EVER. It will contradict what is written in the Bible. Fact is - this eartly place is getting rotten each day.

Second, most people thought that converting to some religious groups would change almost averything. But not realizing that it only leads one to more problems. For them - this is what "religion" is all about.

Lastly, I strongly believe that unless one sees the very thought of God - there is no salvation. I believe that's exactly what we should strive hard for - to see the very thought of God about salvation. Only then, we can really walk in righteousness.

God bless you, friend....

I disagree. Religion is man made and gives no true presence of God. But I understand what you are saying and I agree with that - if we all believed in Jesus Christ, and lived lives that were pleasing to God, our land would be healed.

Unfortunately, that will not happen.

BUT, there will be a one world order in the future which sort of embraces this concept, but instead of having Jesus Christ as its head, it will have Satan who would have created it - teaching the lie that all religions get to God.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to God the Father except through Him.

Actually it isn't about "religion" --- it is about a PERSON. Jesus Christ is a Person and the only way of salvation. The "religion" that follows is simply a method of learning more about Him, our relationship with Him, our future in Him and the Word that we will be judged out of one day. There will be a time when HE sits on the throne of earth and rules the planet Himself.....but that time is not yet. Now everyone still must decide for themselves which side they will be on - Christ's or satan's.

If that were true it might justify religion, unfortunatly the evidence all points the other way. Look for example at your fearless leader George the lessor, who beats the bible while murdering in gods name.
If we all were one religion, we would look for some other reason to hate each other. Rather than being christian v. muslim it would be straight v. gay or protestant v. catholic ( oh, wait, those are all ready on) umm... brown eyes v. blue eyes. There.

Very true.
Without religion, I mean true religion, fight against terrorism becomes, fight for Oil, and territory. And becomes barbarism, like Incidences in Abugharib, and Goentonamu Prisons.
But with true religion it becomes peace for every one like:

When Prophet Muhammad conquered Maccah, He announced peace for every one who want to live in peace and don’t want to make harm to innocent people,

When Sultan Salah uddin Ayyubi defeated Crusaders and gave amnesty to all people of deferent faith.

Because Qura'n does not allow Muslims to kill or fight for them selves but for justice and against evil powers, as per teachings of God Almighty Allah, Elah, Elahim, God of Prophet Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (Peace and blessings of God on all of them).
