The inherent strength of Hinduism is its universality in terms of time and space. Therefore, it is also called the eternal religion based on the tested principles of life in conformity with the laws of nature. It is a scientific way of living a meaningful life after understanding the physiology and anatomy of the human body and the meaning of life and its essence.
What people do not know about the Hindu way of life think that it is superstitious, and Hindus eat Cow dung, drink Cow urine etc. Western materialists suffer from a limited view of life with pleasure and comfort as the only objective of life. But the Indians have experienced and experimented life from a holistic angle encompassing a wide variety of aspects of the universe.

Hinduism is a religion only practised in Indian and by
a majority of Indians. The word Hindu has geographical significance and was used originally for those people who lived beyond the river Sindhu or the region watered by the river Indus. Some historians say that it was first used by the Persians who came to India through the north western passes of the Himalayas. The word Hindu is no where mentioned in Indian literature or scriptures before the advent of Muslims to India, according to the Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics. According to Jawaharlal Nehru in the book Discovery of India on page 74-75, he writes that the earliest reference to the word Hindu can be traced to a tantrik of the 8th Century CE, where it means a people and not a follower of a particular religion. The use of the word Hindu in connection with a particular religion is of late occurrence.
In short Hindu is a geographical definition used for the people living beyond the river Indus or those living in India
2. Definition of Hinduism
a) Hinduism has been derived from the word Hindu. Hinduism was a name given in English language in the Nineteenth Century by the English people to the multiplicity of the beliefs and faith of the people of the Indus land. According to New Encyclopedia Britannica 20:581. The British writers in 1830 gave the word Hinduism to be used as the common name for all the beliefs of the people of India excluding the Muslims and converted Christians.
b) The term Hinduism is misleading because though it suggests the unified system of beliefs and ideas, it is certainly not the case. Hinduism is too broad a phenomenon to be confined to a usual definitions of religions. It does not owe its origin, formation or finalization to any historical person or a prophet since there is no uniformly accepted belief sacraments, rituals and practices in Hinduism, there are no criteria for establishing rules in Hinduism. In short a person who calls himself a Hindu becomes a true practicing Hindu irrespective who he worships and what ever may be his beliefs and practice.
c) According to the Hindu scholars Hinduism is a misnomer and it should be referred as Sanatana Dharma, meaning eternal religion or Vedic Dharma meaning religion of the Veda. According to Swami Vivekananda the followers of this religion is referred as Vedantist.
Hinduism lacks a universal message and apeal and the
customs followed by its followers are completely outdated
and unacceptable in modern day mainstream.

First the weaknesses: settle for even a acceptance for it from the foreigners-The call Hinduism isn't there interior the Scriptures of Bharatiya Sanaatana Dharma. The call it has is Vedic dharma, no longer hinduism. the 2d weaknesses is its human beings adopting what has no longer been informed by making use of the scriptures. The scriptures have not divided human beings by making use of caste nor have they suggested some one is greater suitable because of the fact they belong to a particular classification. yet human beings have accompanied that untold evil and divided themselves into umpteen instructions. The 0.33 one is back the incorrect wisdom of its human beings of life of multi-god, while the vedas have needless to say suggested of a single Satyam Gyaanam Anantam Brahma. Its strengths are: the main needed is, Vedic dharma is of non-public nature. persons are loose to persist with the widely usual righteous dharma, without the will for a pacesetter. The scripture only play an advisory function. it rather is as much as somebody to persist with or to no longer persist with. in reality, the dharma itself became no longer usual by making use of a single guy or woman. it is the collective wisdom of quite some sages. for this reason, a single guy or woman can no longer declare any credit for its company. neither is every physique accepted to transform or baptise a guy or woman as Vedic. If a guy or woman willingly follows vedic dharma he's a follower. It does not require a certificates to be issued by making use of a temple or a clergy guy. it is the only dharma the place even atheists can proceed to be! In the different faith atheists are ostracised!!

You are mistaken. The Hindu religion as is being practiced by us today, is only a mockery. It is more mockery than other religions.

At least in other religions, superstions are not the basis of faith.

There is no religion which can be practiced by the entire world alike.

Religion means catering to the needs of the soul.

Now tell me, which religion has that in it?

Its ability to persecute large sections of its adherents, untouchability, casteism etc which will ensure that Hindus will continue to convert to other religions at a fast pace & very soon, the strongest point about Hinduism will be that it gave ALL its adherents to Islam & Christianity.
