My friend, I get the feeling you have had this experience yourself. If you have, I would like to say that although many of us Christians lack wisdom, we so badly want to make you see the truth, and sometimes, because we are human, we either become aggressive or hurtful. This is not what Jesus wants.

We must speak the truth and then leave it. It is then the other person's choice of what he will do with it. If he chooses to reject Jesus, we must leave him be after we have told the truth.

There is a verse in the Bible which states this too - Jesus was instructing His disciples to go to the nations and tell the people about Him, but He said that if they would not listen, the disciples were to kick the dust of their shoes and leave.

Be blessed - Jesus loves you friend.

Some people get over enthusiastic when talking about Jesus. They don't always know when to stop. Sometimes it's because they are so new they believe they have to tell everyone all the time. They haven't yet learned they need to live it and let God do the rest. I think Jesus would probably be saddened that they haven't learned that yet but have compassion on them. He would most likely take that person aside and gently correct him.

Read the story about Jesus talking to the disciple Peter on the night Jesus was betrayed. Jesus told Peter (Peter, a loyal, staunch follower, and disciple of Christ) that he (Peter) would deny three times that he even know Jesus on that very same night. Peter said He'd never do such a bad thing as that. But later that night, Peter denied that he knew Jesus three times! Here was one of Jesus friends and one of His greatest followers saying that he didn't even know Him. How do you think that made Jesus feel? Did Jesus forgive Peter for what he had done wrong? Yes. Did Peter realize the mistake he had made, repent/feel sorry for it, and become one of the greatest Christian teachers ever? Yes... If and when, we go against the will of God we need to repent of it and try to correct our mistake.

Jesus would weep for the soul that is lost and continue to love and warn that soul away from the disaster to come. It is not about "shoving religion down a person's throat" --- it is about keeping the "life line" thrown out to a "drowning victim."

Dear Honor Am,

First of all i think Jesus is very respectful of people's personal freedom. That is why everyone has a choice whether to accept or reject Jesus. For people who reject Jesus- i believe the Bible shows that He is heartbroken and continues to look upon them with compassion and He continues to seek them out.

In terms of the second scenario the Bible teaches that if someone is clearly, adamantly rejecting Christ (and to a point where they are just looking to mock Christ) that you don't "cast pearls before swine."

i have to say that many Christians are well intended but just haven't learned how to lovingly share with people not only in word but with action. i've shared with many friends who may not agree- but i continue to love them with Jesus' love and i've seen some friends come to Christ over the course of time.

Meaning i can share Christ with you and if you don't agree- i shouldn't keep persisting or harrassing you- but that doesn't mean we can't still be cool and friends...

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

The Bible clearly tells us that we are not to cast our pearls before swine. If a person would prefer to wallow in the mud and the muck rather than to be lifted up to perfection and live forever, we are to leave them alone. Jesus might cry as he walked away but he would allow them to refuse. That is why God gave us all free will.

BOTH are answered in scripture
#1 Judas Iscariot did just that, also in a way Nicodemus did too...so to answer your question..he'd probably tell you that you're wrong and why and leave it at that..if you're honest you get it, if not you would recoil in anger as most in Jerusalem did.

#2 Just because you aren't Christian doesn't necessarily make you an enemy...if you preach against Christ, plainly, you are; but, if you just don't believe and hold your peace, why should I try to ram an idea down your throat? I never rejected Christ (years ago) I just didn't believe, yet; but there were some that treated me as theuir enemy for it....funny though, I still am in a way, because of their errant doctrines like "free will" that force them to believe it is necessary to get you to "choose" Christ. I didn't choose Christ, He chose me and it was then that I believed, it as well as salvation is a gift.

Luk 9:50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

If someone helped out Jesus, He would reward them for that. He said whoever is not against Him is with Him. Jesus would not want His message forced on anyone because He never did that when He was here. Jesus knows when people are ready to listen and accept Him for who He is. He never forces a person to learn before they are ready to.

You know, I think it would depend on the person?

I'll bet that Jesus could say things that would stop some people in their tracks.

But we are talking about the Jesus in the past, aren't we?

The Jesus that will return to rule and reign prophecied in Zechariah 14, you won't deny Him after that! Who could?

Shove it down the throat? Clearly you can argue but you can never make some one believe something they refute.
