Throw your burdens upon Jehovah himself, And he himself will sustain you.
Jesus said at ....Matthew 11:28 .....Come to me all you who are toiling and loaded down and I will refresh you.
You pray to Jehovah, through Jesus, and your prayers will be heard as long as they are in harmony with God's will. But praying sometimes isn't enough. You have to do works that befit repentance. You have to stop your ungodly course and start doing God's will in order to have help.
Things will change if you have faith. When we share our worries with God the bible says he saves our tears. He remembers we are just dust. And he forgives an a large way and doesn't recall our error.

Dear Black V,
Laying our burdens before Jesus' feet also involves trusting Him.
i'll share a personal burden that i recently laid at Jesus' feet and how Jesus gave me a peace that surpasses understanding.
i currently work in the mortgage industry which if you watch the news there are mortgage companies closing left and right. On top of that for 10 years i sat behind a desk working as an underwriter and for the past year i took a job change in the sales field (so having not underwritten for a year- i'm not sure that i could return to that), and also i'm not experienced enough in sales to find another job in sales.
Like everyone else i'm pretty stressed out and scared about losing my job. So i brought my concern before the Lord in prayer.
This is the importance of knowing God's promises. God promises the believer that He is with him always. And that He is faithful. He doesn't promise always to take the problems away- but He is present in the midst of our storms.
Well for me, i didn't know what exactly to pray so i asked God and he directed me to the Lord's prayer. In the Lord's prayer Jesus prayed: Lord, your will be done (basically God whatever you want to do- do it and i'll trust you). As i prayed this prayer- God gave me a tremendous peace. Because i realized that although my job is in jeopardy (when i was in college i remember a time when i had -$20 in my bank account and God has never allowed me to starve a day). He has always provided for me and i trust even if i were to lose my job tomorrow- He has plans for me.
Previous to the job i have now i was laid off and learned how to trust God through that time. The key is as we lay our burdens before God and trust Him, each time we trust Him we can look back on His faithfulness and trust that He will help us even though we don't always see how.
i hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster
P.S.: Feel free to email, share, and i'll gladly pray or just listen to you.

When you really lay your burdens on His shoulders you begin to notice that things don't seem so difficult and hard to manage. Over time they tend to work themselves out and you have more time to relax in His company. Just remember, very few things actually need to be changed in an instant and we grow in character when we learn to trust His hand in our lives. To be honest, it's a little scary sometimes but it all works out in the end. I've seen it work in my own life. It will work in yours.

When He says to give Him your burdens, He means it. You have to let them go, no matter how you feel or what the circumstances. But it starts by inviting Him into your heart by declaring Him your Lord and Saviour.

My friend, firstly, do you LEAVE them with Him, or do you take them back?
There is also a scripture in the Bible that says God will give you the desires of your heart if you obey His commandments and make him first in your life.
We cannot go to the Lord only when we have problems. We need to put Him first in ALL areas of our lives. That means, that if we are living with our partners but not married, get out because God wants you to keep yourself pure. Do you understand my friend?
God will not answer if you are lukewarm. You need to live a life that is pleasing to Him.

I think sometimes it is easy to bring things to God, the problem seems to be leaving them with Him to sort out.
We tend to bring things to God, but immediately take them back and try to deal with them ourselves, then wonder why nothing has happened.

Well, you either trust Him, or you don't. I would direct you to Hebrews 11.
