I bought a 1 gig microSD card and it fits in fine into my phone. However, I cant use it at all and when I try to access it it says "Not Allowed"...

Ive looked at the settings everywhere to no avail.

BTW, I have a Samsung T809

May be your mobile doesn't support that configuration. Try and use some other configuration card.

Are you sure your mobile need microSD instead of micro M2? Check again in ur mobile manual.

I made a mistake before with my Sony ericsson z530 (but actually microSD will not fit well on micro M2 slot)

Well theres only a few phones out there that can handle a 1gb or a 512mb card! Such phones are The fusic, the iphone, and i believe the m900! But as for your phone, it could possiably be like mine and only reconize a card that is 256mb or lower! Most phones aren't comptiable with bigger memory cards!!

might be it wont support 1gb pls try with 512 mb if it work then ok otherwise you should give to service if you have warranty or any good service center to check the memory card holder in mobile
but pls conform with othercard with the shop where did you buyed before you give to serive
and once check you mobile specfication too that it supports 1gb
another thing is you can format by some formating too and try
if you want to format in windows xp please right click and select quick format and the format should be in FAT not is FAT32
thanks

sure... a memory card reader may actually help you do this... yet then so ought to plugging your digicam into your computer.... once you do this you should note that a clean stress seems in homestead windows Explorer that includes the information. you may move issues from and to this 'digital' stress basically like you may a usb flash stress or a cdrw.
